well my mom did after 5 years of being clean and my aunt did after 3 months of being clean hope that gives you an idea

Not all alcoholics need to undergo an inpatient alcohol treatment unless recommended or advised by an expert. However, people who are addictive and those who show sign to this kind of addiction are usually advised to undergo this kind of treatment.
